What is Nibld?

Nibld is a social restaurant discovery app. You log the places you have eaten at, save the ones you want to try, and build a personal food trail on a map. Instead of a photo feed, everything is organised around restaurants, dishes, ratings and lists, so your posts stay useful long after you publish them.

How is Nibld different from other social apps?

Every post is attached to a real restaurant, so your content becomes a searchable, mappable record rather than a stream that disappears. Ratings use a precise 1.0 to 10.0 scale, you can keep private wishlists, share visits with groups, and get recommendations based on a food profile you control.

Does Nibld cost anything?

No. Creating an account, posting, saving restaurants, joining groups and collecting Nibld Bites are free. Some rewards from restaurants may have their own conditions, which are always shown before you redeem.

Do I need an invite code?

During the beta, invite codes help us grow at a pace we can support. If you have a code you can enter it when you sign up, and once you are in you get your own invite link to share from Settings.

Which languages does Nibld support?

English and Swedish. You can switch language at any time in Settings, and the whole interface, including dates, numbers and ratings, follows your choice.

What kinds of posts can I create?

Two. "I visited" is for a place you have already eaten at, with a rating, photos, dishes and who you were with. "Want to visit" is for a place on your wishlist, so you can keep track of it and share the tip with friends.

How does the rating scale work?

Ratings run from 1.0 to 10.0 in steps of 0.1, so you can give 8.7 rather than being forced into whole stars. Each range has a label, from Awful at the bottom to Godly at the top, and the number is formatted for your language.

What are sub-ratings?

Optional scores for parts of the experience, such as food, drinks, service, atmosphere and value. If you add them, the overall rating can be calculated as their average, and you can still override it manually.

Can I turn a "Want to visit" into a visit?

Yes. Open the saved post and choose to mark it as visited. Nibld keeps the restaurant and carries you into the full visit flow so you only add the rating, photos and details.

Can I edit or delete a post?

Always. Open your post, choose edit to change the rating, caption, photos, tags or audience, or delete it to remove it permanently along with its likes and comments.

Can I add captions to individual photos?

Yes. Each image in a post can have its own caption, which is useful when you want to name a specific dish or note something about one course.

How does tagging people work?

Use the "Who was with you" field to tag companions, and mention people in captions and comments with @. Tagged and mentioned people get a notification and can see the post if they have access to it.

You choose per list. A list can be private, shared with specific people, visible to friends, or public. Shared lists only appear for the people you picked.

Saving a post bookmarks someone else's content for later and is always private to you. A list is a curated set of restaurants that you can name, organise and choose to share.

Global shows public activity across Nibld, Following shows only the people you follow, and Users searches profiles. On top of those you can apply filters such as cuisine, rating, distance and price.

A filter that surfaces people whose posting is consistent and well received: regular reviews, real detail and engagement from other users. It is a discovery signal, not a paid or applied-for status.

How does the location search work?

You set a place and a radius, and Nibld measures real distances from that point, so a search in Stockholm never drifts to another country. You can search around your current position or type any city or address.

Only what you have put in your food profile, such as diets, cuisines you love and things you avoid. Nibld does not collect allergy or other health information, and the assistant cannot help with health questions.

Nibld never asks for sensitive personal data, and you should not submit it. Do not post health or allergy information, ID, passport or other government numbers, bank, card or payment details, or biometric data, whether about yourself or anyone else, in posts, comments, messages, reviews or support requests. Content that exposes this kind of information can be reported and removed.

How do I sign in?

With your email or username and password, or with Google. Restaurant teams use the same sign-in and then reach their tools from the business dashboard.

Yes. Your display name keeps the capitalisation you choose, while the underlying handle stays unique and lowercase. Old usernames are remembered so links do not break unexpectedly.
